Duración

Destino

Reloncaví Estuary

It is a scenic trip to Caleta Rollizo where the mountain meets the estuary. It is an invitation to experience life in the cove and memories that still resonate in its traditions.

On this route, you will enjoy coastal landscapes, a gentle walk to a hidden waterfall, and a lunch prepared by local gatherers and fishermen.

Route to the Sea is not just a transfer. It is a change of scenery and pace.
It begins in the foothills of the Osorno volcano, on soils of volcanic origin, and continues along a scenic road between mountains, forests, and hamlets until reaching the sea: Caleta Rollizo, a corner of the estuary where life moves with the tide.

Halfway there, we take a naturalist walk of 3 km in total (round trip), which allows us to stretch our legs, breathe in the forest, and discover a hidden waterfall among native trees. It is not a demanding walk, but it is lively, with mud if it has rained, humidity in the air, and sounds that accompany each step.

In the cove, a family of local gatherers and fishermen welcomes us with a lunch prepared with seafood: mussels, seaweed, empanadas, ceviches, sopaipillas. Flavors of the territory, full of history.

During lunch, we share stories about life on the southern coast of Chile, the changes in the sea, the biodiversity of the estuary, and the current tensions between tradition and modernity. A simple, profound, and tasty encounter that connects us with the coast not as a landscape, but as a way of life.
